Cinekid has selected eight Dutch children’s series that will compete for an award during Cinekid Festival 2025.

In this football series packed with funny characters and cool players, hot-headed football talent Jason joins a team of four quirky players to try and win an indoor football tournament. What starts out as a clever chance to get scouted soon grows into an unexpected adventure full of rivalry, perseverance, and new friendships.

Ahoy! Hoist the sails and climb aboard for this special series premiere. Pol the Pirate Mouse is a treasure chest full of fun adventures about the tiniest pirate you’ve ever seen. It’s a charming animated series for young children, beautifully made and full of cool characters. It’s no wonder the series has been selected for the Best Dutch Series Competition.

Saïd & Anna season 2

Saïd & Anna season 2

Age: 4+
Cheerful stories about best friends Saïd and Anna, who spend their holidays together at a sleepover in the Repair Shop run by Saïd’s parents. There, broken items are fixed and given a second chance. From their homemade tent, they experience all kinds of adventures. The series is not only great fun and beautifully made, but also introduces young viewers to the importance of repair and recycling.

About the Best Dutch Series Competition

Every year, Cinekid presents a selection of the best Dutch series for children of the past two years with the Best Dutch Series Competition. Cinekid aims to assess the quality of national episodic productions, distinguish exceptional series and promote series for young people. All selected titles stand a chance of being declared winners by a professional jury within two categories: Most Original Series Production and Craftsmanship in a Series Production.

This year’s jury consists of actress Eva Laurenssen, director Jamille van Wijngaarden, and presenter Tirsa With.
