The Eurimages Co-production Development Award went to Dreamscape, written by Saar Ponsioen and produced by Juliet at Pupkin. The Filmmore Post-Production Award for the best live-action project was won by Crawlers, from director Mirjam Sveinbjörg Thorkelsdottir, which was written by Benedicte Kolberg and produced by Handmade Films in Norwegian Woods. The PUBLIKUM Audience Awareness Award went to Acorn’s Adventure by director and writer Filip Mašek and producers Pure Shore and Fabian&Fred.
The Cinekid Lion for Best Children's Film 2025 went to Honey by Natasha Arthy from production company Toolbox Film. Best Dutch Children’s Film 2025 was for Twinkle Twinkle Little Elephant, directed by Meikeminne Clinckspoor, produced by 100% Film.
The Eurimages Co-production Development Award is a €20,000 prize for the development of a European feature co-production, which was presented to Dreamscape, written by Saar Ponsioen and produced by Juliet at Pupkin. The jury consisted of Ilse Ronteltap (Netherlands Film Fund), Nicholas Sando (Filmbin, Norway) and Valerie Yendt (Gebeka Films, France). The jury reports: “Told through an innovative blend of hybrid animation and live-action fiction, their story explores a powerful family secret revealed in an unexpected location.”
The PUBLIKUM Audience Awareness Award went to Acorn’s Adventure directed and written by Filip Mašek and production companies Pure Shore, Fabian&Fred. They win a customised audience research project worth €9,000. The award goes to a project in development that excels in connecting with its audience. This prize comes in the form of services of a unique blend of anthropology, data, and IT to help projects forge a deeper connection with viewers during the development process.
The jury consisted of Rikke Flodin and Maria Villadsen (Will & Agency/PUBLIKUM, Denmark) and Niklas Teng (LevelK Denmark). The jury comments on the winner: “Acorn’s Adventure impressed us with its strong concept and clear target group understanding. It's driven by characters directly inspired and partly created by the young target audiences giving it authenticity and appeal.”
The Filmmore Post-Production Award for the best live-action project in development was won by Crawlers from director Mirjam Sveinbjörg Thorkelsdottir, writer Benedicte Kolberg and producer Handmade Films in Norwegian Woods. The prize consists of €5,000 to spend on the project's post-production at Filmmore. The jury members Asta Stuhr (Tall and Small, Denmark), Gillian Cooper (Wildcard, Ireland) and John Blaak (Filmmore, The Netherlands) awarded Crawlers and reported: “The winner of the Filmmore prize is a project that we think has an original concept and the entire jury is excited to see it come to fruition in cinemas both locally and internationally.”
Earlier this week the shorts were awarded. The Sparks Shorts Competition (9-) was won by Dog Bridge (directed by Jorn Leeuwerink) the Amarte Best Dutch Short Film Award. Lola and the Sound Piano (directed by Augusto Zanovello) won the Best International Short Film Award. The Sparks jury consisted of directors Susanne Hagen and Nils Vleugels and GoShort Festival Director Lotje Kerckhaert. In the Flames Shorts competitions (9+) Blin Fiducie (by Luka Kluskens) was awarded Amarte Best Dutch Short Film Award and the Best International Short Film Award for Autokar (by Sylwia Szkiłądź). The Flames jury was formed by directors Idriss Nabil and Ibrahim Handal, along with Festival-agent Alexandra Hroncova.
