Every two weeks we introduce you to a member of the Cinekid for Professionals team. This week we proudly present Charlotte Hendriks! Read our Q&A with Charlotte below.
Charlotte, please introduce yourself and tell us something about your background
I joined the Cinekid for Professionals team last year as an intern, coordinating the Guest Service. This year I am back, graduated from Utrecht University holding a master’s degree in Film and Television Studies. In 2012, as part of the Bachelor Media and Culture at the University of Amsterdam, I studied a semester of Communications abroad at the University of Technology Sydney, where I got to broaden my horizons.
What is your role at Cinekid for Professionals?
I oversee the Guest Service. Together with my colleague Thijs van der Laak we process all guest inquiries, make travel and hotel arrangements and provide our guests with all information needed to insure a high level of satisfaction. During the festival in October you can find us at the Guest Desk, making sure all our guests obtain that same level of satisfaction.
What do you like about Cinekid?
Cinekid is a widely diverse event for kids, parents, teachers and professionals. The combination of all these different aspects is what makes Cinekid unique. Seeing kids experience film, television and new media and loving it, while working around the clock yourself to insure all professionals are taken perfect care of is the best combination I could wish for. In the months up to the festival I love the planning and making preparations, trying to improve on last year’s edition. Also the interaction with our guests, getting to know them and assist them in the best possible way.
