Cinekid has nominated six Dutch-spoken TV programmes for the Kinderkast professional jury awards of 2017. The awards are annually conferred during the Cinekid Festival, which takes place from 21 to 27 October in Amsterdam. There are two categories: fiction and non-fiction.
This year, 56 TV programmes were submitted. From these, the professional jury, consisting of Hesdy Lonwijk, Evelien Bosch, Niki Padidar, Joram Willink and Bodil de la Parra, selected the nominees. In addition to the nominated titles, the professional jury was in charge of composing a shortlist of TV programmes that make a tour along schools in all 12 Dutch provinces. In this project, more than 2000 children vote for their favourite programme. The production reaping the highest score subsequently wins the audience award.
