During the year Cinekid offers a wide range of study days and workshops. Have a look at our offer below.
Study day Film & New Media
This study day for teachers explores how to connect culture and technology and how to introduce the class to visual language, media literacy, digital literacy and 21st-century skills in a natural, creative and playful manner. By means of a short introduction, but mainly by trying things out together in practice, you will learn how to use new and interactive media, technology and moving images. Part of the study day consists of online tutorials, for example the ‘stop-motion tutorials’ that serve as a preparation and instruction during your lessons.
This Study Day is in Dutch. For more information, please contact us through firstname.lastname@example.org.
Guided tour Cinekid MediaLab
The Cinekid MediaLab (held in October at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam) explores the intersecting field of art, new media, technology and visual culture. It aims to provide a platform for better media content for children, and to encourage an active and creative attitude in children. Developing a personal taste and a critical attitude to media helps to strengthen children’s position, and MediaLab’s digital productions and installations appeal to their inherent learning ability through play and intuition. Children are also actively involved in the production and construction of media, technology and visual culture. The MediaLab seeks to balance physical interaction, sense of wonder, creating, tinkering and building, analogue versus high-tech, talent development, conceptual installations and projects geared to professional practice.
Visit the Cinekid Festival with the whole teaching staff (from 18 to 26 October 2018) for an inspirational guided tour, tailored to your interest.
Costs: from €100 per guided tour. Offered in Dutch and English.
