David Freeman is a screenwriter, videogame writer, renowned screenwriting instructor, and popular international speaker. He has sold scripts to Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures, MGM, and others. He teaches “Beyond Structure”, the largest screenwriting class in Los Angeles, New York and London. He’s been brought in to teach at Pixar, at Disney Animation, and at Aardman Animations (“Chicken Run” and “Wallace and Gromit”). David’s popularity is based on his unique approach to teaching: he has distilled over a thousand “hidden” techniques (techniques never noticed by the audience) used in the best comedies and dramas – techniques that give great characters, dialogue, plots and scenes their emotional breadth and depth. David also works in videogames, and wrote a well-known book “Creating Emotion in Games,” with a forward by Will Wright (“The Sims”). The book contains 300 separate techniques to make games emotionally engaging. David has worked as a writer on many high-profile games (www.freemangames.com). He’s a sought-after international speaker at screenwriting, animation, and game conferences across the world. David has also applied screenwriting techniques to branding and advertising, and has worked with large clients like CBS and Tyson Foods, as well as boutique companies. More information
