Cinekid for Professionals welcomes four new steering committee members for the 2011 Junior Cross Media Market. The new members are: John Kent, Executive producer at CBeebies (UK), Voyelle Acker, New media & New formats Manager atFrance Télévisions / Direction Jeunesse(FR),Patricia de Wilde, Licensing Director  at Marathon Media (FR) and Xavi Mas, International Sales & Co-Productions Manager atMotion Pictures (SP).

 

The committee already included: Jeff Gomez, CEO at Starlight Runner Entertainment (USA), Brenda Bisner, VP Business Development at Believe Entertainment Group (USA), Andrew Kerr, managing directorat Aoh!K Commercial limited (UK), Rebecca Denton, Cross Platform Development at Turner Broadcasting (UK), Alessandro Traverso, VP of Commercial Development at HIT Entertainment, Lou Murrin-Honore, Managing Director Kids Channels at Cartoon Network (FR) and Justine Bannister, Post Producer at Disney Channel(FR).

The main goals for the Steering Committee include connecting Cinekid's Junior Cross Media Market team with the most innovative producers of transmedia content in the kids space and also focusing on new trends within the industry relating to the future of cross media. The committee meets every year prior to the Junior Cross Media Market in The Netherlands.
 

The Junior Cross Media Market is part of the Cinekid Festival and Cinekid for Professionals which is held yearly in Amsterdam during the month of October. The market brings together producers of transmedia content with international financiers and co-producers, including broadcasters, networks and entertainment companies.

 

Cinekid for Professionals is a four-day event (18-21 October) held during the nine-day Cinekid Festival in Amsterdam. Cinekid for Professionals brings together more than 300 carefully selected key persons and international experts to discuss new developments in children’s media and to exchange experiences. It aims to encourage and promote the production of film, television, cross-media and multi-media productions for children internationally. Cinekid for Professionals creates possibilities for filmmakers to exchange ideas, and it seeks opportunities for promotion and international co-production.
