These days no film or television series is launched
without accompanying web content and game: crossmedia participation is an
absolute must. But how do you develop productions in which the specific
strength of each media is used in order to best convey a specific part of the
story? This seminar focuses on transmedia storytelling as a new media form.
If you want to retain the attention of a young audience, then you have to use TV, film, the web, games and maybe even radio and print to ensure a successful result. And you have to provide children with an opportunity to actively participate. By allowing them to influence the story, for example, or create additional content. That this relatively new approach confronts makers with a whole range of new issues is hardly surprising. Cinekid has assembled a panel of prominent experts who will cover three important elements in creating successful transmedia projects: scriptwriting, production models and continuing management (the phase following launch).
