Master class given by Dave Burgess, Head of Character Animation

The Head of Character Animator at DreamWorks will be giving an exclusive master class, which will focus on the design of unique characters and animation styles for a feature film.

Dave Burgess will be giving us a very rare glimpse into how this compelling 3D-film was created. He will do so with material from early stages in the development process, which has rarely been seen outside the DreamWorks studio. He will also reveal the sources of inspiration behind some of the film's memorable characters, including reference material that was used to design the animation and visual style of the film. Burgess will run through the process of a shot from storyboard to final lighting, and go over the development of the film's main characters from early designs, through hand drawn tests, into early 3D rig & performance tests, and finally some finished animation from the film.
